Behaviour Support in Schools

View the 2017 Obudsman Inquiry into behaviour management in schools. This report focuses on issues concerning students with complex needs and challenging behaviour. The report discusses the difficult challenges that schools face, but also draws attention to reasonable steps that can and should be taken to meet the learning and support needs of students, within a framework of best practice and evidence-based behaviour support.

Recipe for Success: Penrith.

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is pleased to announce ‘Recipe for Success’ in Penrith. Recipe for Success is a unique autism specific Positive Behaviour Support workshop. It has been designed using contemporary evidence based strategies by Aspect’s Behaviour Support Team as part of their direct work with families. By the end of the 3 day workshop every family will write their own Autism specific Positive Behaviour Support plan based on a chosen behaviour.

When:            Tuesdays 9th August, 23rd August, 6th September

Where:           Northcott Disability Services Penrith, 9/28 Coombes Drive, Penrith

Time:              9.30am to 2.30pm

Cost:               Free to carers, $150 for professionals
