Screening on 6th April for Autism Awareness Month
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is proud to announce a special movie screening for children with Autism and/or other sensory needs. In celebration of World Autism Awareness Day and World Autism Month 2013, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in partnership with Event Cinemas Castle Hill will launch Autism and Friends at the Movies on Saturday 6th April, 2013 at 10:30am screening Wreck it Ralph.
Autism and Friends at the Movies is an inaugural event where the cinema environment is tailored to suit children with sensory needs. The movie stays the same but the environmental conditions are modified - the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and its okay for children to get out of their seat and move around if they need to. Tickets are available for pre purchase in person at Event Cinemas Castle Hill. Unfortunately no tickets can be bought online.
