Behaviour Support in Schools

View the 2017 Obudsman Inquiry into behaviour management in schools. This report focuses on issues concerning students with complex needs and challenging behaviour. The report discusses the difficult challenges that schools face, but also draws attention to reasonable steps that can and should be taken to meet the learning and support needs of students, within a framework of best practice and evidence-based behaviour support.

Issues in Sexuality and Disability Course

Family Planning NSW will be delivering their flagship course Issues in Sexuality and Disability’ in Ashfield on September 17 & 18. This two-day course is designed for all workers in the disability sector (including support workers, managers and allied health professionals) who would like to increase their capacity to support people with disability in the area of sexuality, relationships and sexual health.

Participants will gain essential knowledge and skills to effectively support people with disability in the area of sexuality and relationships, and learn how to use resources to facilitate positive and healthy discussions about sexuality.
